Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables

Why should we eat seasonal fruits and vegetables?

One of the many reasons for consuming them is because they are fresher, flavorful, and generally cheaper! Plus buying it from local businesses helps the local economy.

Lastly, our bodies are made to eat seasonally. Late fall and winter provide products rich in vitamin C, which help during cold and flu season. Peaches, nectarines, and other stone fruits found in summer contain vitamins that help protect against sun damage. Eating fruits and vegetables in season provides your body with the necessary nutrients appropriate for each time of year.
